One of the most coveted things in anyone’s life is a good night sleep; funny (or sad)
How hard is it to accomplish?

Today we are flooded with information about what is a good mattress. Too much information leads to misconceptions and mistakes. The most important thing for a good night sleep is a good one. We hear things like “pillow top”, “foam encasement”, “memory foam”, “high coil count”…

What does this mean?

First of all, the first thing you need to remember is that a good mattress company doesn’t make a good or a bad mattress; they make different ones. The perfect mattress for one person can be horrible for another.

So, what do we want in our mattress?

We want it to support our body type; we want it to support our curves. The right one is firm on your shoulder, hip and knees and fills your curves.

Now, for some of the most important things to look for.

So how do you know?

Lie down on a mattress for a few minutes at the store and find out. You don’t want a one that is too soft for you or too firm. You want it to be just right.

The coil count is like the heart of a coil mattress. A good coil is more than 70% of a good mattress. The three main ones are:

    • Bonnel: The most basic spring unit, used for more than 100 years, all coils are connected so one coil breaks the mattress is done.

    • Verti-Coil: The most durable unit. is an open coil unit that is connected at its borders and supports the entire network of coils.  But here, if a coil breaks or even a row you won’t notice.

    • Pocket-Coil: Best for motion distribution. Each row is wrapped in fabric so that each row acts individually. Can be found in the most expensive mattresses. The more coils the better. In a queen mattress you want at least 410 open coils or 530 pocket coil . When it comes to coils, the more the better!

    • The second most important thing is the foam. Look for high density foam that will support you better and will last much longer. The less foam the better. You want comfort from the coils, topper, the memory foam, latex or micro coils. The first thing that breaks down in any mattress is the foam. The last is the coils. So we want more coils, less foam.

    • Choosing the right one is a very individual process. No one mattress will be right for everyone. But then you find the one that almost everyone likes; it will feel like they are in heaven.

At Dallas Dinettes & Furniture Center, you can find the right mattress for you. So that every night you will be “Sleeping like a baby!”
